Sonoma Events in January 2025: Wine Tasting, Festivals, and Other Things to Do

Discover the best Sonoma events in January 2025. My calendar includes top wine tasting parties, the popular WINEland event, and a few things to do at night.
You will also find a few wine tasting deals as well as information on Sonoma's art walks (which always include some local wines!).

Winter WINEland
Dates: 1/18 - 1/19
The 31st Annual Winter WINEland is the perfect time to sample Sonoma County wines. The event features more than 50 wineries throughout the region.
This event takes place at each individual winery, so you will be traveling from one winery to the next for the tastings.
Tickets include tastings at all participating wineries (minimum of 3 tastes at each winery). This weekend event runs from 11 am to 4 pm both days.
No tickets are sold at the door, so make sure to pick yours up before the event!

Theater in Sonoma in January
You will find several theater performances this month around Sonoma.
- 1/4 & 1/5, 1/11 & 1/12, 1/18: Holly Day & The Rainbow Road at the 6th Street Playhouse in Santa Rosa
- 1/17 - 1/26: Gutenberg The Musical at the Cinnabar Theater in Petaluma

Monthly Art Walks
Santa Rosa: The monthly art walk in Santa Rosa is on the First Friday of the month from 5 pm to 8 pm. The event features live music, open studios, and a lot of fun. You will find the art walk at several galleries in the downtown area.
Sonoma: The city of Sonoma offers their art walks on the first Thursday of the month. This month's art walk runs from 5 pm to 7:30 pm. It's a chance for you to see local artists and their amazing pieces. You can also enjoy music and poetry.
Guerneville: The first Saturday of the month is when you can check out local artists during the Guerneville Art Walk. Studios will be open so you can meet and speak with all of the artists. You can also enjoy some music and local wines. The event runs from 4 pm to 7 pm.

Sonoma County Wine Tasting Events in January 2024 (TBD for 2025)
There are some great winery events, and celebrations, every year in Sonoma County. Here is just a small list of them:
Cline Cellars: Grilled cheese and wine pairing (1/20 - 21)
Gundlack Bundschu (1/18): Hi-Fi Happy Hour from 5 to 7 pm. Enjoy wine, records, pizza, and friends in the Barrel Room.
Papapietro Perry (1/30): Wine and Caviar tasting from 2 to 3:30 pm
Luther Burbank Center for the Arts
You will find several great shows this month at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa. Here are a few of my top picks.
- 1/12: John Edward at 12 pm
- 1/19: David Foster with Katharine McPhee at 7 pm
- 1/21: Burton Cummings at 7:30 pm
