One of the best ways to learn more about the Golden Gate Bridge is by taking a guided tour. While you will find several tours of the bridge, this walking tour is the only one that is free. It's offered by the public library every Thursday morning at 11am.

Head over to the West Portal District for this annual street fair. Walk along the sidewalks to enjoy works from dozens of local artists. You will find everything from jewelry to paintings on display and for sale.

The Cherry Blossom Festival is a two-weekend long celebration in April. It features traditional performances, food, and live music. My favorite show each year is by the Taiko Dojo Drummers. Other fun activities include the Sanrio Kids Corner, the Tea Ceremonies, and the chance to mingle with locals.

The April Sunday Streets event is on Sunday, April 12. The event lasts from 11am to around 4pm. It's the perfect day to run, bike, or walk on car free streets as you also learn more about ways to live an even healthier lifestyle. All activities are free and open to the public.

The 2014 World Series Champions, the San Francisco Giants, kick off their home season on Monday, April 13. This month, the Giants play 10 home games against the Diamondbacks, Rockies, and Dodgers.

Another important event this month is the Cesar Chavez Festival and Parade. This annual event celebrates the life of Cesar Chavez, a civil and labor rights activist. The celebration kicks off with a parade starting at 11am. The festival follows from 12pm to 5pm in SF's Mission District.

Spring is in the air and it's time for some outdoor fun. How about taking a bike tour of San Francisco as you stop by its top craft beer breweries. During this three hour tour, you will stop by three breweries to sample their local creations. Along the way, your knowledgable guide will tell you more about San Francisco and the breweries. No more than 12 people can sign up for each tour, so it's a nice, small group.

The 58th annual San Francisco International Film Festival is April 23 - May 7 at venues all around town. This large film festival includes independent pieces from artists from around the world. It's one of the largest and longest running film festivals in the Americas.

The world-renowned SF Symphony plays several nights in April 2015. Highlights this month include Heras-Casado conducts Mozart and Haydn, Myung-Whun Chung & the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, and Tan Dun's Martial Arts Trilogy - Film with the SF Symphony. If you have never been to the symphony, I highly recommend checking it out while you are in San Francisco!

Bay Area Dance Week is a 10-day festival that features more than 600 free dance performances in San Francisco and all around the Bay Area. The event offers local artists the chance to showcase their work to dance lovers from all around the world.

All month long, catch Seduction: Japan's Floating World at the Asian Art Museum. This temporary exhibit includes works of art from Yoshiwara, an important escapist location in Japan in the 17th Century. On display, you will find paintings, woodblock prints, kimonos, and an amazing 58-foot-long hand scroll that shows what it was like to visit this place.

The annual Glen Park Festival give the community the chance to celebrate the neighborhood while meeting new friends. During this one-day event, you can listen to live music, enjoy food from local gourmet vendors, and entertain your kids with special children's entertainment all day long.

If you are looking for a unique experience, then join the cast of Beach Blanket Babylon for a performance. This musical pokes fun at popular culture with outrageous costumes, funny skits, and more. Transit from SFO: Are you looking for the best way to get from the San Francisco International Airport to your hotel? I recommend looking at a shuttle. These multi-person vans move people from the airport to their hotels. They seat up to 12 people, so you may stop a few times before you arrive at your destination. However, they are affordable and give you confidence that you will arrive at your hotel with very little hassle.
The PGA Tour is coming to San Francisco April 29 - May 3, 2015. This event will include many top PGA golfers. The purse size for this competition is $9.25 million. You can watch the practices or the tournament. All activities are at SF's TPC Harding Park.
