If this is your first time to San Francisco, then I highly recommend a trip to see Alcatraz. This old federal prison housed some of the most infamous prisoners such as Al Capone, 'Machine Gun' Kelly and Robert Stroud, 'The Birdman of Alcatraz'. Walk through this historic building as you learn more about its history, the people that stayed here and who, if anyone, really escaped.
