You will find a variety of fun things to do on Mother's Day, Memorial Weekend, and every other weekend this month. Read on for more details and to find out how you can attend these fun wine tasting celebrations.

May 6 & 7

Below are details on the best Sonoma County wine events in May for the first weekend.

Chateau Diana: Paint. Sip. Unwind. (6th), sample wines and small bites as you sit in the Chateau Diana vineyard and paint their amazing sunflowers, $50 for club members, $60 for the public, reservations required

deLorimier Winery: Spring Open House (6th), enjoy new releases, live entertainment, wine specials and more, complimentary from 11am to 4pm

Landmark Vineyards: Half Shells & Chardonnay (6th), 11am to 3pm at their Hop Kiln Estate in Healdsburg, $45 general public, $25 for wine club members

  • Hot Air Balloon Ride: Admire Sonoma County from above on a Hot Air Balloon Ride, you will spend an hour cruising high above the vineyards as you learn more about the region, the entire experience is about 3 to 4 hours with set up, an hour in the balloon, landing and deflation, and a champagne toast to celebrate the day, find discount availability for this tour on Groupon

  • Sonoma Food Tour: Sample some of Sonoma's tastiest dishes on this 3-hour food walking tour around the Sonoma Square, it will include tastes at up to seven stops, tours are available Tuesday - Saturday and start at 11am, find discount availability on Groupon

  • Electric Bike Tour in Sonoma: Enjoy a day wine tasting on a "pedal assist" bike near Healdsburg, during the tour you will ride around 8 to 17 miles, but your electric bike will make it easier to get around, stop by 3 to 4 wineries, learn more about each one and eat a gourmet picnic lunch at one of them as well, leaves daily at 10am, tasting fees not included, find availability for this tour on Viator

May 13 & 14 (Mother's Day Weekend)

Spoil your mom at one of these special Sonoma County wine events in May.

Alexander Valley Vineyards: Spring Bash & Blending Party (13th), fun competition that offers you the chance to be a winemaker for the day, winners announced at the end of the party, 10am to 3pm, $75 for members, $90 for the public

Bacigalupi Vineyards: Pinot & Paella Spring Release Party (13th) from 1pm to 4pm, sample seafood paella paired with a selection of their Pinot Noir wines, $45 for guests, $30 for members

Benziger Family Winery: Celebrate with Mom (14th), free wine tasting for all mom's plus a special bouquet of flowers from the Benziger garden, all day long

Chateau Diana: Mother's Day Celebration (14th), bring your picnic and Chateau Diana will supply your mom with a mimosa as you celebrate her special day, picnic table reservations are required on this day

Chateau St. Jean: Fete de la Fleur (13th), includes food, entertainment, and Sonoma food, you will also sample 5 of their single vineyard and reserve wines, $15 per person, complimentary for members + one guest, event lasts from 11am to 3pm

Cline Cellars: Food Truck Saturday (fig rig on the 13th), from 11:30am to 3:30pm sample wines and enjoy goodies from the fig rig (the girl and the fig's food truck)

Clos du Bois: Celebrate Mom! (14th), enjoy oysters on the half shell paired with the best Clos du Bois wines, family activities include face painting and bean bag toss, 12pm to 3pm, $40 per person, $20 for wine club members

Dutton Goldfield: Mother's Day Weekend at Dutton-Goldfield Winery (13th), includes a mini-wine flight with cheese plate for all moms, $5 for everyone else or mom's that don't purchase wine

Emeritus Vineyards: Mother's Day Brunch (14th), 11am to 1pm, 3-course brunch in the vineyard, $90 per person, $80 for wine club members

Ferrari-Carano: Mother's Day Art & Wine Walk (14th), stroll through the Ferrari-Carano property, do some wine tasting, and enjoy their art display, several of the women who are showing their art will be on hand for questions and conversations around their pieces, no reservations required

Imagery Estate Winery: Fete en Blanc (13th), sample Imagery Estate's best white wines, sample small bites, and play bocce ball, 2pm to 5pm

Imagery Estate Winery: Mother's Day Celebration (14th), all mom's receive complimentary tasting for their special day, they will also be giving all mom's a special bouquet of flowers from their garden

Jordan Wines: Spring at Jordan (13th), an event that celebrates spring with an 1800s French theme, sample their still and sparkling wines, French cuisines from their resident chef, and an afternoon of entertainment, 2pm to 5pm, $95 per person

Korbel: Mother's Day at Korbel (14th), specials in the tasting room and special tours of their historic gardens, no reservations required

Keller Estate: Mother's Day Brunch (14th), 3-course brunch with Mimosas, 11am to 1:30pm, $75 per person, kids menu for $25

La Crema: Mother's Day Brunch (14th), includes an elegant buffet brunch paired with their newly released 2016 Saralee's Pinot Noir Rose, 10am to 12pm, at their Saralee's Vineyard, $75 per person, $60 for club members

Macphail Wines: Rose Release Party (13th), sample their newly released rose of Pinot noir, food pairings by K&L Bistro, and live music, 1pm to 4pm, $40 for the public, $30 for club members

Amphora Wines: Paella Party-A Taste of Spain (20th), enjoy paella paired with Amphora's Spanish varietal wines, 6pm to 8pm, $58 per person, $48 for wine club members

Buena Vista Winery: Pinot Gris & Sushi (20th), stop by the wine tasting room to sample their Pinot Gris & enjoy some sushi, reservations are not required, 11am to 3pm, $5 per person, wine club members receive two free tickets

Imagery Estate Winery: Gallery Days (21st), meet the artist behind their Code Blue label, buy a bottle of wine or a print and get it autographed, 1pm to 3pm

Lambert Bridge: Chef's Table Series (19 - 21), food and wine experience with dishes made by Mateo of Mateo's Cocina Latina, 11am to 3pm, $95 for members and $125 for the public
