San Francisco Events In November 2014

Thanksgiving Activities, Theater, & Other Fun SF Things to Do

Grab your jacket and get ready to enjoy all of the fun San Francisco events in November 2014. This time of year, the weather starts to cool down and you can expect a little rain toward the end of the month. Don't let this dampen your spirits though as you will find dozens of fun things to do all month long.

The biggest holiday this month is Thanksgiving. Even though some top attractions close for one day, you will still find many great things to do. That weekend, you will also find several special events planned including many holiday tree lighting festivals.

Other highlights this month include Cirque de Soleil's Kurios under the Big Top near AT&T Park, SF Open Studios where you can visit the place where local artists work, and several craft fairs and film festivals.

Thanksgiving Day & Weekend

Let's start with the biggest event of the month, Thanksgiving. This year, it falls on the last week of the month, November 27. As I mentioned above, some attractions close on Thanksgiving Day. However, all resume regular hours throughout the weekend. You will also find a number of tours that still run this day as well as several special events.

Dates: November 27 - November 30

Tree Lighting Events & Celebrations

November is one of my favorite times of year as this is when the city is gorgeous with all of the holiday lights. Many attractions and Bay Area cities also hold official tree lighting ceremonies and/or festivals during this time of year. It's such a fun way to celebrate before and after the official holidays.
