Top events in Napa in July 2024 include a July 4th celebration at the county fairgrounds in Calistoga, Festival Napa Valley, and several wine tasting events at wineries all around the valley. You can also enjoy some outdoor summer concerts as well as some great shows at the Blue Note.

Fourth of July Parade in Downtown Napa
Date: 7/4
The Fourth of July parade in Napa starts at 10 am in historic downtown Napa.
It starts by heading east down 2nd Street, then goes west on 3rd Street.
The parade lasts until around noon.
Festival Napa Valley
Dates: 7/6 - 7/21
This month, California's wine region comes alive with Festival Napa Valley, with more than 60 events spread out among the area's most stunning estates, vineyards, theaters, and restaurants.
Over 100 wineries will participate. A few events are free while others are fundraisers, but they are all designed to highlight Napa's fine wine and cuisine, and its enriching art, fitness, and community programs.

Napa to Sonoma Half Marathon
Date: 7/20 - 7/21
Run from one gorgeous wine region to the next during this half marathon event. The race starts at Cuvaison Carneros Winery and ends in the historic Sonoma Plaza in front of City Hall. Bring the entire family as there are fun activities planned around the race.
The Rosé 5K is on Saturday and kicks off at 8 am, while the Half Marathon is on Sunday and starts at 7 am. You can run in one or the other. You can also get special pricing if you want to run in both.

Robert Mondavi Summer Concert Series
Dates: TBD
For over 50 years, the Robert Mondavi Winery has been hosting some of the best events in Napa in July: their annual summer concert series. They've welcomed artists such as Ingrid Michaelson, Melissa Etheridge, Five for Fighting, Martina McBride, O.A.R., and so many more.
The kick-off concert for this season will take place this July at their beautiful outdoor concert venue surrounded by vineyards, where you can purchase lawn, patio, or dinner seating.
Napa Porchfest
Date: Returning in 2025
This fun live music festival is one of the free events in Napa in July. Festivities last all afternoon and are designed to bring the community outside and into the neighborhood. At Porchfest, homeowners volunteer their porches as stages for talented musicians to show off their work.
Maps will be provided so you'll be sure not to miss anything, and while you can certainly explore on foot, bicycling is encouraged as a means of transportation between venues.
Napa City Nights
Dates: TBD
Take advantage of the summer weather by heading to the Riverwalk on Friday nights for free live music concerts. The recently renovated Veterans Memorial Park Amphitheater is the perfect place to have a picnic with the family and relax along the terraced seating areas with views of the Napa River. Shows are every Friday evening from 6:30 pm to 10 pm this July.

Calistoga Concerts in the Park
Dates: throughout the summer months (dates TBD)
While Napa has its free outdoor concerts on Friday nights, nearby Calistoga offers free concerts in the park on Thursday nights from 6:30 to 8:30 pm between June and August.
This year's featured bands include Magic, National Park Radio, Sacred Fire Band, Soulshine Blues Band, The Humdinger Band, Latin Touch, Dirty Cello, LC Diamonds, The Boys of Summer, Maya - A Latin Tribute Band. Check out the schedule and set out for Pioneer Park with your picnic basket and blankets.
There will be local wines available for purchase, each week featuring a different winery.

Wine Tasting Events in Napa in July 2024
Discover a calendar of the top wine tasting events in Napa in July. These are winery events where you can pay a fee to celebrate with wine tastings, food, and live entertainment.

St. Supery (7/13): Estate Luncheon Series Featuring The Big Green Egg from 11:30 am to 2 pm
Tamber Bey (7/6): Summer social lobster pot feast
Trefethen (7/20): Decades of Decadence library wine tasting from 11 am to 2 pm

Shows at the Blue Note
The Blue Note offers a great place for live jazz entertainment several nights a month. Catch a show and enjoy some of their tasty food on the first floor of the Napa Valley Opera House.
